Health Benefits of Cauliflower

You’ve heard us say it a million times… Eat your veggies! Here we will highlight this powerhouse veggie, cauliflower. Cauliflower is not only good for you, it’s versatile too. Let us tell you why it’s so good for you and give you a few of our favorite ways to cook with it.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CAULIFLOWER:

HIGH IN VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is essential for immune system function. It encourages the growth and repair of all body tissues.

HIGH IN FIBER

HIGH IN CHOLINE

Choline is an essential nutrient that many folks are deficient in. It is important for optimal brain development and nervous system function. It has benefits that decrease anxiety as well as improving mood and memory.

WAYS TO COOK IT:

ROASTED

Toss some carrots and cauliflower on a cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle on some salt and pepper. Put them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes, tossing veggies halfway through. Bon Appetit!

RICED

Throw it in your food processor and make your own cauliflower rice from scratch. Or you can just buy it in the frozen food section, chopped and ready to go. This is a great rice alternative for any dish. Riced cauliflower will take on any flavors you add to it so think fried rice, Mexican rice, cilantro lime, or whatever your heart desires. Frozen cauli-rice is also a great addition to your morning smoothies!

RAW
